The Monkeys’ Snowy Day! Friday we had an amazing time learning about winter at croydoncreek. We got to meet Birch the turtle and go on a snowy walk to search for squirrel nests. ❄️ Happy First Snow from the Lions’ Den! 🦁 A busy start to a busy month of learning and play, all while preparing gifts for our loved ones. This week, we made melted snowmen, and the Lions were asked, “If you were a snowman, who would you melt for?”. ⛄️ We heard about all sorts of special people, from parents to teachers! The Monkeys have been learning about recipes as we get ready for Thanksgiving. Recipes help us think about sequencing and following directions, and they introduce new vocabulary like “mix,” “stir,” and “scoop.” We learned about measuring ingredients and the science of combining things to make something else. When we followed our recipe in class we used our fine motor skills to scoop and pour. We also used our imaginations to make up our own recipes!
