Spring has sprung! The Monkeys are starting a study of pond and meadow habitats. We learned about how robins make their nests and tried it for ourselves with clay, twigs, grass, flowers, and other natural material we found on our playground. 🦁🌊 This week, the Lions have been hard at work reviewing many of the amazing skills they’ve learned throughout the year! From practicing writing ocean-themed words, to writing their first and last names, sorting recyclable and non-recyclable materials, matching letters to their sounds (including some digraphs!), and one of their favorite activities — identifying fact families — our cubs are proud to show off what they know. ✏️📚As we approach the end of the school year, the Lions also decorated matching t-shirts to commemorate their special time together before heading off to new adventures. 🎨🧡 What a fun way to celebrate a year full of fun, learning, and friendship!#pcpi #rockvillemd #preschool #learnthroughplay #roarsomefun ... The Pandas had so much fun exploring color mixing with bristle blocks and paint! 🎨🟦🟨The children used the textured blocks to stamp and paint, discovering what happens when colors mix together. They loved experimenting and watching new colors appear right before their eyes!This hands-on process art activity helped strengthen fine motor skills, encouraged creativity, and introduced early science and art concepts through play and exploration.
