Diving into May with meaningful moments in the Lion’s Den! 🦁💙Our Lions celebrated Earth Day by learning how to care for our planet. We practiced recycling and created “litter bugs” to remind us how important it is to keep our environment clean. 🌍♻️🐞Earth Day also led us into exciting conversations about the ocean and water pollution. Our class explored seashells through hands-on discovery, sparking curiosity about the world under the sea. 🐚🌊As we enter our final full month together in the Lions class, our cubs are feeling all the feels! The Monkeys finished up our study of jobs and community helpers with a Science Day! We learned about how scientists hypothesize and experiment, and we tried out our own experiments with color mixing, floating, magnets, and magnification. It also helped us to practice rotating through centers and taking turns. 🌎🐼 Happy Earth Day from the Panda Class! 🐼🌎Our Pandas explored Earth Day through fun process art! Dinosaurs, dinosaurs! The Monkeys loved learning about Paleontologists and scientists who study dinosaurs. We did our own dinosaur fossil dig, created dinosaur skeletons from pasta, and even made up a new dinosaur all together (each child chose one part of the dinosaur).
