A windy week in the Lions’ Den! 🦁💨 We’ve been learning about some fairytale favorites and even built our very own straw, wooden, and brick houses for the three little pigs! 🐷 🐺 Scroll to see how Pumpkin Jack’s been doing… poor guy! 🎃😳 In other news, our cubs have been practicing sequencing, making beaded corn, learning turkey songs, and talking about letters A through F! Our Panda class had a wonderful time exploring “All About Me” through hands-on, play-based activities!🖌️ Painting Body Cutouts:The children painted themselves with simple, people-shaped cutouts to practice fine-motor skills, and express themselves creatively.🏡 Family House Craft:They decorated little “homes” and added a family photo inside—helping build emotional security, a sense of belonging, and early spatial awareness.🔤 Letter Play With Playdough:Using playdough and letter cutouts, the children explored the letters in their names. We love Eric Carle books! Our Monkeys have read and re-read Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See, so we decided to check out some other Eric Carle classics. Last week we read a bunch of Eric Carle books, compared them, re-told them in different activities, and even tried our hand at cutting and making art with paper ourselves. We voted for our favorite book, and the Mixed-Up Chameleon won! Which is your favorite? Happy November from the Lions’ Den! 🦁 This week, our cubs are familiarizing themselves with our new fairytale puppet theater 🎭 and concession stand 🍿 as they begin their exploration of the forest!🌲 Some of our Lions shared that they would love to sleep all winter, just like bears.
